Our meetings take place in Galway city and currently our branch members hail from Galway, Clare, Roscommon, Mayo, Westmeath, Sligo, Sweden and the USA The venue for our meetings is the Galway Bridge Centre St Mary's Road Galway H91 C2C3 from 10am - 12.30 Our meetings feature guest speakers, a show and tell of members' recent work and visiting shops with patchwork and quilting supplies.....and a welcoming cuppa on arrival. The next meeting of the Western Branch will take place on: Saturday November 8th from 10am - 12.30pm in the Galway Bridge Centre. H91 C2C3. Our guest speaker this month is Siobhán Geoghegan form the Connemara National Park who will tell us all about the park, its history and amenities. We are delighted to welcome Siobhán as our members have been invited to present an exhibition of works about the park, in the park during August Craft month 2026. We look forward to getting some inspiration for our work. Our visiting shop will be Stephanie Green of Greenacres Quilts in Donegal.
A gentle reminder that if you haven’t already done so, Membership renewal can be done at the meeting on Saturday. Admission €5 at the door, please bring a €5 note. Looking forward to seeing you. In the afternoon Stephanie and Henny of Greenacres Quilts will lead a workshop making a quilted Christmas Tree. |
