Our meetings take place in Galway city and currently our branch members hail from Galway, Clare, Roscommon, Mayo, Westmeath, Sligo, Sweden and the USA The venue for our meetings is the Galway Bridge Centre St Mary's Road Galway H91 C2C3 from 10am - 12.30 Our meetings feature guest speakers, a show and tell of members' recent work and visiting shops with patchwork and quilting supplies.....and a welcoming cuppa on arrival.  The first Western Branch meeting of the New Year will take place on this Saturday, January 11th. We will begin the year with a talk on colour and colour theory from Lynn Naughton. In the afternoon Lynn will conduct a workshop using foundation piecing to put colour theory into action. If members weren't too busy over the Christmas festivities we look forward to a great Show and Tell work.
Admission at the door is €5. (Notes please, no coins. Thank you.) We look forward to seeing you at the Galway Bridge Centre (H91 C2C3) from 10am-12.30. |
Thanks to the arrival of Storm Bert, our quilt, commissioned by Jenny Beale of Brigit's Garden, was not handed over at an event in Brigit's Garden on Saturday November 23rd. We plan on holding an event there in spring 2025. Watch this space.
